Terminal management

Management happens in the cloud, adding the terminal goes through app that can be downloaded from the app store for each device independently
- or separately in the browser

Terminal management

The terminal can either be given a new name and settings or alternatively in the event of re-installation, one may choose to select an existing terminal - in which case the saved settings will be loaded to the (new) device, including for instance the previous warehouse, printer or payment terminal details.

1. Add a new terminal

Adding cash registers / terminals is always done separately on each device, first you log in to the workspace and then proceed according to the steps below.
It should be noted that the Mini license supports only one cash register, i.e. terminal and cashier user at a time. In all cases, always only one terminal per one payment terminal. More about licenses

First, press the
Create new terminal -button

Next, the POS terminal is given a descriptive name, for example the name of the location or any recognizable, agreed-upon name.

After that choose Warehouse, either "No warehouse" or if the Stock control add-on is active with the Pro subscription, the warehouse can also be defined.

After creation, the new POS terminal is immediately displayed in the cloud, where it can now be managed.

2. Management of terminals

Terminals are managed through the Vektori cloud services:
Settings -> Cash Register ->
Terminals

Existing terminals can be modified through the names or the pencil-icon.

The list of terminals could look like the following image depicts:

You can add a new browser POS terminal via the New Terminal -button:

The browser terminal(in the Pro version) works, but since there are differences in browsers, we recommend that you download the Vektori application available from the Android or Apple app stores and use Vektori as a cash register through that. The browser version can be used, for example, to check products or product groups.

3. Create terminal with existing terminal data

If it is, for example, a reinstallation of the application, you can also choose an existing terminal and all the available details from it.
In this case, the settings that were previously on that cash register will become active for this - possibly new - cash register.

4. How to delete a terminal

Billing for Smart and Pro licenses is based on the number of active terminals. The cash register / terminal is counted as active if a sale has been made with it. The information regarding the amount of active terminals is updated once a day, and it is not calculated every time the page is updated, so the number of active terminals shown on the Dashboard -page may be different from the current situation.

If the terminal is no longer used, it should be removed so that it is no longer billed.

The sales made with the cash terminal, as well as the related reports, will be preserved, even if the cash terminal is deleted.

In order to delete a terminal, one needs to open the drop-down list shown in the image by pressing the downward pointing arrowhead and pressing the Delete -button.

After that, a pop-up for delete confirmation is now visible, just to make sure you want to proceed.
